Oct 2024, welcome our new PhD student Guocheng and new Postdoc Tianshu to the lab!
June 2024, we organized a workshop on Future Technologies for Emergency Response and Public Safety. We hosted a group of Metro Nashville employees for a daylong workshop to discuss how new technologies like AI can support emergency response and public safety. Workshop sessions addressed topics such as improving training for public safety employees, handling mental health crises, and using AI to assist first responders.
June 2024, David Wang presented our paper "MicroXercise: A Micro-Level Comparative and Explainable System for Remote Physical Therapy" at 2024 IEEE/ACM Conference on Connected Health: Applications, Systems and Engineering Technologies (CHASE).
February 2024, our lab attended the 2024 AAAI conference. Zirong Chen and Xutong Sun gave an oral presentation and poster presentation on our paper "Auto311: A Confidence-Guided Automated System for Non-emergency Calls". Ziyan An gave a poster presentation on our paper "Formal Logic Enabled Personalized Federated Learning through Property Inference".
September 2023, Zirong Chen, Henlen Sun and Yuanhe Li presented our work at ISIS 25 anniversary ceremony.
May 2023, our lab attended 2023 CPS-IoT Week at San Antonio. Yiqi Zhao presented our paper "Fairguard: Harness logic-based fairness rules in smart cities" at IoTDI and Ziyan presented our poster "Guiding Federated Learning with Inferenced Formal Logic Properties" at ICCPS. Reunioned with academia families!
February 2023, our lab dinner and our lab alumni Coco came back to visit.
September 2022, our first workshop on developing efficiency and equitable emergency response system, sponsored by NSF CIVIC Innovation.
